Publication Ethics

March 18, 2026

JasetUI is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. All parties involved in the publishing process — authors, reviewers, and editors — are expected to adhere to these principles. Our guidelines are based on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) best practice guidelines.

Duties of Authors

Originality and plagiarism. Authors must ensure that their work is original and that any use of others’ work is properly cited. Plagiarism in any form — including self-plagiarism — is not acceptable and will result in immediate rejection.

Multiple submissions. Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Submitting work that has been previously published is also prohibited.

Authorship. All listed authors must have made a genuine intellectual contribution to the work. Ghost authorship and gift authorship are not permitted. All authors must approve the final version before submission.

Disclosure of conflicts of interest. Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence the results or interpretation of their work.

Errors in published work. If an author discovers a significant error in their published article, they must notify the editorial team promptly so that a correction or retraction can be issued.

Duties of Reviewers

Confidentiality. Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents. They must not share, discuss, or use unpublished content from a submission without the author’s explicit consent.

Objectivity. Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is not appropriate. Reviewers should provide clear, evidence-based feedback.

Conflicts of interest. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest and decline to review manuscripts where such a conflict exists.

Duties of Editors

Fair review. Editors must evaluate manuscripts based solely on their academic merit, without regard to the author’s nationality, gender, institution, or personal relationship with the editorial team.

Confidentiality. Editors must not disclose information about submitted manuscripts to anyone outside the review process.

Conflict of interest. Editors must not handle submissions in which they have a conflict of interest. Such manuscripts must be reassigned to another editorial board member.

Misconduct

If misconduct is suspected — including plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate submission, or authorship disputes — the editorial team will investigate in accordance with COPE guidelines. Depending on the outcome, the journal may reject the submission, retract a published article, or notify the author’s institution.
